>>74075005It's interesting just how different the narrative is between Hololive and Holostars.
Hololive girls had troublesome times where they had barely 100 viewers yet struggled and improved themselves, recruited fantastic talent that blended in well with their existing system, yet also expanded the audience.
Miko of 2019 for example was an extremely shy inkya type who was embarrassed about even speaking out because she was bullied for her short tongue and bad pronunciation in school.
Now it's a "cute" aspect of her that she can utilize to the MAX in order to entertain her audience and bantz with them.
The idol aspect helps with the second thing, which is showing them that, despite all their teasing and bantz during streams, her fans actually really love her and will watch her idol concerts and help her succeed by buying her merch and other stuff.
It's a nice dichotomy.
Among holostars, the only person that has even REMOTELY improved themselves is Roberu, and yet other than just doing the usual zatsudans there's nothing more from his side.
Even the big events that they somehow manage to run with company funds are not profitable at all, because for some reason no one's invested enough in them to support them.
Doesn't help that they don't do shit that yumes like, and just like HoloID they constantly filter people that they come across.
Izuru for example dunked on his EN fans once iirc. After which even among EN starmin and beggars his mindshare basically evaporated - despite being one of the breakout singing successes back when he debuted.
Cover should probably sell them to Brave Group or something. Because I think just like the EN side, the ONLY reason a ton of holofans don't even give them a chance is because they might damage the girls if they ever grew too much.
And because Hololive as a whole has just the mindshare of the girls, the homos just have ZERO discoverability due to being attached to that brand, yet being on the absolute bottom of the audience interest totem pole.
