The problem with greed is that initially the accumulation of wealth serves a purpose - fame, power, hot bitches, etc but eventually that becomes lost and the only thing that matters is the accumulation of wealth for it's own sake. Expensive skilled staff are replaced by cheap idiots, high quality bespoke products are replaced by cheap mass-produced tat, corners aren't just cut they're shaved down and any sort of oversight disappears. Greed is good when it pushes for expansion but it always ends up with auto cannibalism - cutting away at the supports for a quick buck and ultimately seeing the whole operation crashing down
