You can usually see the difference if you open it in a spectrogram though. There's also the factor of most digital music not being mastered to take advantage of those extreme frequencies, which means there wouldn't be a difference in the first place.

Imo just enjoy your music. If storing locally, get lossless since storage space is cheap, otherwise just use whatever's available.
