i mean, ironically the redesign probably meant more money for him. And he got paid either way. At least it wasn't like Pako's vtuber designs which all died an untimely death. (I think Vesper used it for one day)

It is fine as an illustration, just not as a model. I doubt he cared too much as long as he got paid. IRyS / Holo probably wasn't the first clients that didn't like someone he did after he finished. Plus it is still a very big deal in Japan to be a Holo artist.

1,0 was too dark (not talking about skin color), 2.0 is too bright. Guy seems to lack a sense of color saturation balance.

What kind of question is that? In that industry you get used to getting flamed or even outright not chosen at all.

All you can do is move on and try better. Which he has done. He's doing well, just had an exhibit last year, an artbook coming out this year, etc. He's eating fine.
