there actually isn't much overlap between the fanbases despite how many vocaloid covers the holos do
also vtuber fans/holofans actually care about the real singing and the appeal is the fact that the vtuber is a live person - the appeal is that the technology is being used to augment and turn a real person into being like an anime character, not just a fascination with the thing being futuristic in general
the human element is actually key to vtubing, the appeal isn't 'wow these are virtual anime characters' but 'wow these anime characters are fucking real'
