in reality while FMA is good it's not perfect and doesn't really hold up e.g. things like all the random sudden cuts to out of place gag comedy where the artstyle changes that were emblematic of shounen and shojo anime at the time or the pacing issues like the famous chimera thing being just a single episode in Brotherhood so all the impact is gone
Frieren on the other hand is a much more consistent product and already holds up way better (Frieren isn't the greatest ever either but it's less of a mixed bag than FMA and has a more timeless quality to it)
