>i need my hand to be held, i dont know how to do anythingthats fine
>what do i pickpick any class that seems cool, you arent bound to anything, it just determines your starting gear and stats. you can buy the other classes's starting equipment at various merchants later. starting gift is the same deal.
>where do i gosee somewhere interesting in the middle distance? a cave, a ruin? go there. especially if you see a site of grace (save point). sometimes there are secrets. from the main menu, turn online play on to see other people's messages that might guide you to a hidden passage, warn you of a trap or trick you into one. leave your own, if you want. or play offline and blind.
>what do i dokill whatever is there and get new shit. practice combat and try out new things. not every person or thing in the world is an enemy though, if you're not sure and dont want to get too close, you can lock on as you're approaching. no lock on = you can talk to them. they might be a shopkeeper or an npc that you can befriend that has their own questline. these characters are usually all alone and obvious. make sure to talk to them and exhaust all their dialogue before moving on, you may find them later on, in a different place.
>i dont know how to progress the main objective of the gamenpcs will tell you what to do and where to go, and sites of grace shine a golden line towards where you "need" to go. but its always good to explore everywhere.
>but i cant see anything, where do i gofollow the main roads, there are maps you can pick up in front of tall markers that dot the roads. you can also put markers on your map to remind you of things youve seen or want to come back to.
>im getting my ass beattry a new strategy, time your rolls, jumps and attacks better, come back later when you're stronger. you dont have to fight everything you see either. learn to use your horse when fighting in the open field.
