I just get tired of dealing with smug assholes on bikes trying to say cars are completely awful and should be off the roads entirely. Time and time again in spite of cities' walkability being a constant argument completely cutting cars out of the equation only results in difficulty traveling anywhere else. And before you say "but muh trains", America is simply too spread out in the way it's made to be able to do that. Plus, due to America's size it's more economical to just fly cross-country and rent a car to get around than spend several days on a train to get where you need to go elsewhere in the country.
