You know that it's perfectly normal to dislike something someone does and still like them in general, right? I'm pretty sure I don't know your mom does plenty of things you're not fond of but you still love your mom. And I bet your mom thinks the same of you. Disliking one aspect of something doesn't mean absolute unending hate.
Or, subjective as it may be, that people can change for the worse, right? Did you ever consider that that's also a possibility? Change doesn't automatically means better.
