Obviously, they don't follow traditional idol standards all that much, but they still do stuff like concerts and original songs, even with some of the Westerners like Kiara and Mori. Personally, I think it's the main thing that puts them above the Nijis. It gives them some form of "goal" to work towards, and gives them all a reason to collab together and help each other out, rather than just being a bunch of scattered streamers that leave smaller fish to suffocate. It's kind of like the difference between Naruto and Fairy Tail. Naruto wanted to become the Hokage, and he wouldn't shut up about it, so we watched him knowing he was working towards that goal, and looking forward to when he finally reached it. Meanwhile in Fairy Tail, Natsu doesn't really have an overarching goal to reach, so all the questing and fights feel kinda soulless, since it doesn't feel like they're making progress towards anything.

>>868295 What's the deal with Western faggots and their hate on Fairy Tail while they still fellate other battle shounen? Neck yourself immediately. As for the idolfaggotry, it's just that, faggotry. A thread died for this.

>>868295 Idols are very much japanese culture. People outside of japan shouldn't copy it. What I'm waiting for is for the koreans to make a kpop vtuber. They already have the formula with real kpop.

>>868295 Niji does more concerts and original songs than Holo?
I was about to answer this seriously about the evolution of idol culture in Japan, and how being lewd isn't completely looked down upon by fans, to how seiyuu have evolved into idols too, etc. but this is just a shit thread.

I like the idol activities they do, more than gaming at times. The singing concerts and live performances are amazing and special, especially when you can turn on a stream and have them chat about it the next day. I doubt they'd have 3D models without a use for them in their concerts. Sorry ENs...

The 'idol structure' IS Hololive (and Nijisanji). They are not a fucking streamer group. This board is almost all EOPs that have no idea how much branding happens off youtube. I'd be willing to bet HoloEN didn't really know what they were getting into, they perhaps thought it was just a streamer group like this place does. >Mori is puzzled why they chose her instead of Suisei for HoloALT Here is an example: Right now in Izu (vacation/tourist spot) Hololive has a collaboration with a train line where the holos give a tour guide of a few destination spots. Now this is for mostly Japanese people, but imagine a similar collaboration happens where Mori is giving a tour guide to mostly gaijin tourist spot like Akihabara. Mori has HUGE opportunities as an idol.
