It's just the fandom I was a huge part of a few years ago and a lot of the people who were prominent artists/content creators/translators there had a massive chip on their shoulder when it came to Mori.
From what I could gather it's because some prominent voices said she was racist and so she because a valid target for harassment and ridicule, nobody really asked why they though she was racist or spoke up against it and it just snowballed with the horse shit from way back when.
Shit was uncomfortable man, made me leave and cancel some Patreons.
