People who don't have STAGE2 tickets can get a head start, people who get out would be in Tokyo around 9-something.
If you want to make the whole trip into a Japan vacation, staying in Tokyo is a better idea (unless you want to just book the Friday/Saturday night in Chiba/Makuhari so you can be there faster). Plus there's tons of Hotels in Tokyo and you can probably find a good rate if you shop around.
