Sundays are normally quiet for us but today is working on subverting that. An impromptu Bigfoot collab with Zen, Taka, and Haruka, Mel reviewing fanart that can't be shown on a blue board, and Mouse planning on celebrating 500k Youtube subs with a stream there are a lot more action than Sundays normally get. Still, doing a weekly recap of notable streams is a good way to remember what's happened, along with providing a few recommendations to anyone who may have missed something live, or who may not be interested in today's events.
Silver - She had a busy week with an FF14 fashion show and a Phasmo collab but the surprise standout was Friday's playthrough of Inside. Not even because of the game itself, but because it's where she debuted her new hyper-stylized chibi gremlin funko pop-esque Live2D avatar. It's cute and it's weird and it's got noodle arms and giant gazongas but watching someone genuinely enjoy playing with a 2D model for the first time was really fun.
Froot - On Saturday she stated her intentions to play through the entire Dead Space series in preparation for the upcoming remake. Despite all of Froot's appreciation for horror and macabre aesthetics she gets scared incredibly easily and much of the game that wasn't spent stomping corpses into mush was spent audibly panicking and screaming.
Mouse - Speak of the Devil is worth checking out if you just want a feel-good stream with two people who genuinely appreciate one another hurling compliments back and forth. It may not reach the same heights as the Haruka or FalseEyeD episodes but it was great in its own way and could open the door to future collabs between these two lovebirds.
Nyan - Almost every stream this week was gold, but Wednesday gets the biggest recommendation as the pink cat set out to examine the evidence and conclude once and for all whether or not cryptids are real. Strange as it may seem, the standout character was a png of a red circle with an arrow pointing to it that somehow always seems to point at exactly the right thing.
There were more, of course. Mel's yoga stream was a quiet, chill affair that showed off a really great new outfit, Vei started and played Darkest Dungeon every stream this week, and Mouse also did a surprisingly fun read of the first chapter of Kaiju Girl Caramelise on Friday. Today may not be an empty a Sunday as normal, but it's still fun to reminisce, and use those good vibes to keep the thread comfy by ignoring bait, and being excellent to each other.
