>>97585917The problem with Rise CB is that Charge Blade's design is built around using guard points to defend against monster attacks and retaliate and the flow of its combos is supposed to revolve around the moves that transition into GP so you can manage your combo and be ready to respond to the monster. You do your normal attacks, which store phials, and then consume those phials for a big counterattack after a GP or after creating an opening with attacks.
But Rise CB is brainless axe spam. There's no way to easily flow into guardpoints and all your damage is sustained DPS from slow attacks with long animation commitment. You just go ham and hope the monster doesn't look at you, and if it does you eat shit, chug a potion and go back to spamming. There's no responsiveness to the monster, none of the weapon's flexibility and versatile moveset is on display and nothing is worth using except the big spam moves that just ignore the monster's movements.
It has basically devolved to World SwAxe.
