>>99180431That sounds like a skill issue, unfortunately, but I will say that its a lot simpler than it seems, you just have to get used to it. The early game has a lot of enemies that mix shit in, but are pretty slow so they are great for practice. It's only late game that enemies start to assume you have the basics on lockdown, until then you are fine even with a basic grasp of the game.
I will also note that the mikiri counter is basically just an easier way to parry thrusts, but you can ignore it if you want which leaves you with parrying and dodging only. Its not nearly as overwhelming as it might seem.
