The sad thing is, the author is only 60% done with the manga, unless he intends to cut it short. He is also releasing slower than ever which means the manga won't be done for at least 20 years.
To make matters worse, the author is already 55 or something. He very well could die or lose motivation before the series is finished, unless he hands it off to someone else.
