There are a wide variety of tasks, procedures and programs that all soldiers/airmen/sailors/marines are required to know and be proficient in regardless of what their primary job is. These trainings are all usually annually-recurring, sometimes bi-annually, or every 4 years even depending on what it is. They range through a wide variety of things and across the branches. I'm Air Force so my list will mostly include that but often stuff like:
>Combat triage and emergency medical treatment of casualties (until the casualty can be assumed by professional personnel)>Land navigation and map comprehension>Proper use and maintenance of flightline wheeled fire extinguishers>Hangar ceiling-mounted foam extinguisher system operation>Defibrillator Training>CPR>Chemical, Biological Radiological, Nuclear and Ecological [CBRNE] Protection>Proper wear and use of MOPP gear (Our hazmat suits we wear if someone drops spicy wind on our ass)>Emergency Destruction of Munitions (AMMO and Ordnance troops, not to be confused with EOD)>Operational Risk Management>OSHA Requirements >Cleaning, Maintenance, and Proficiency in firearms (scope and quantity dependent on branch and job, even Air Force desk bitches still have to annually qual on the M4 and M9)>Force Protection Conditions [FPCON]>Cybersecurity and Awareness>Restricted Area TrainingSome are online classes you take by yourself, and some are sit-down briefings taught by people like OP.
