>>7220079you should tackle this depression head-on before it gets worse anon, I've been there and it's something you can work on, our shared issues are far better problems to have than some people in this thread (speaking of which, I wish you all the best even if that's hardly anything at all).
Most of the cliche advice is so often repeated because it's true. Take a break from your bad habits, exercise and eat more vegetables. Read a book that challenges you. Go out for a walk. Call your parents.
>>7220111I used to think passion was something you were born with, like an organ, but I'm not sure that's the case anymore. I think it's more like a muscle; you have to stretch and challenge it regularly to keep it healthy, or it'll atrophy over time. Sometimes that takes work you don't want to do, but the benefits are worth it if you put in the time.
As for my venting, someone close to me is depressed and I don't know how to be real with someone in person, so I want to help people here instead of making real change to someone I know and care about.
If you're reading this I want you to look at the way your brain works and identify something you're deficient in, then work at it. Don't beat yourself up over your flaws, just try to fix them the same way you'd try to help someone else. I'm going out for a jog, I'll check in later anons.
