So, through therapy and lots of reflection, It's become clear to me in my adult life that I was psychologically abused growing up, and that it's basically the root cause of my emotional and trust issues. It was relieving at first to admit, but I'm not sure how to carry on through life now. Knowing that my paranoia and fear of people came from lessons I learned from my dysfunctional parents doesn't make it any better. It's like an instinct at this point to push people away. Fuck guys. How do you learn to trust? I know I'm not the only one here with asshole parents.
