I feel you on those changes. We're in a similar boat I think. Last year, I had been single for a few years (still am) and developed a bunch of habits, like smoking, that I think was holding me back from socializing well. I quit 10 months ago, started eating right and working out a bit over that time too. The results have been underwhelming, but I can't help but think how much worse it would have been if I was spending 7 bucks every 2 days on smokes and eating shitty ramen and takeout every night.
My point is, you're making positive changes, whether or not you perceive it, it's helping. Keep it up/
