>finally scrounge up enough money to stop living at my parents place>within a month of moving out my mom says grandma has cancer, their tenant moved out, and my step brother who defrauded her for 10s of thousands won't be held accountable>oh shit room mate i gotta go here are three candidates to replace me on the lease>within two days of me being out, after paying the february rent, he lets some couple move in>they dont sign a lease>housing wont let me take my name off>roomie demands i pay the march rent because they ran off on him>try to buy out of the lease, denied>offer to split the difference in the late fee because the replacement did pay some of the rent, denied, late fees add up to almost 1k at this point of the month and roomie wont pay anything because he's convinced its my fault>he demands more money from me, and refuses to let me pay to break us out of the lease>I don't give anybody any money, and now its my first eviction but I have received no notices, no copies of any paperwork, housing no longer replying to my emails or calls. what happens can just happen at this point, but ouch oof my credit and wallet
