That said, working with family can be fun and rewarding, as long as there isn't any kind of emotional baggage that is just 'there', quietly simmering in the background, waiting for the least little trigger.
As for your relationship with your father, I would suggest don't completely disconnect from him, don't cut off all ties, too often that leads to serious regrets later down the path from both sides, often when it's too late to do anything about it; but instead just try to live your own life, go out into the world and find a job that you enjoy and can add value to that isn't working with your family, so that you can not only make some money for yourself and also prove to yourself (while also quietly demonstrating to your father WITHOUT throwing it back in his face with so many words) that his opinion of you is patently false.
