>>7897932I write mystery. Thanks for asking. The picture you shared is of an old carved arch featuring free form avian motifs. It's actually from an old 19th century high end Chinese restaurant. It was originally an entire arch that was in the entrance to the restaurant. You would have walked through it when entering to dine. The arch fell and was damaged but the top mantle portion was undamaged. I sold it to a wealthy Chinese businessman and friend I met during my travels. I loved that piece but it belonged back home.
