I don't have a lot of friends but recently I hung out with an old friend from high school a few months ago and it was really fun but I was really put off by his attitude. He said a few things that sounded very envious and very glass-half-full and I'm not sure I want to have that kind of person in my life. It's hard because I don't want to be an asshole to him. I don't know how to balance my needs with my sympathy.
