If I had the time, energy, and disposable income I'd shoot all film and wouldn't need to add any grain. But I just don't have the time or energy or disposable income.
I have a very old Sony DSLR from probably 2005-2008. I'm not exactly sure. Frankly I'd like to upgrade to a newer digital camera.
But I use a Minolta Maxxum f/4 lens which I have found helps get that film look. I should get a f/2.8 lens really.
Typically I do some light contrast/color adjustments and add some noise. I can tell the photos aren't real film but I have fooled other people before. It's a close enough approximation of that "film look" for my purposes.
