if you want to install i3, there's a manual on
i3wm.org that tells you how to configure just about anything in it
I don't know stuff about firefox, but I guess it's about the same as in windows
the taskbar i3bar is quite customizable, but there are others that are more customizable (haven't tried them out yet)
If you choose i3, i'd advise you to use j4-dmenu and some other j4 stuff with it, because it is quicker
you can change i3 wallpaper with feh/nitrogen
