Hey guys, finally got around to changing those icons! Anyone have any suggestions on things to work on next? I've been thinking of fooling around with foobar, but like media player classic a bit too much to commit to it. I'm always open to recommendations on functional things to add though.

For the taskbar I didnt do too much, just installed a visual style and changed the icons for the docked programs. For the centering I used the links toolbar/quick launch toolbar trick, and just fooled around with it for a minute or two till I got them positioned correctly.

Frankly I think the wp is neato to the 11th degree. I used to rice and such before but said fuck it because it didnt really make sense. After I found this wp it was something I ACTUALLY loved looking at so I decided to make it look nice and pretty. (As if anyone cares about my mono logging)

Alright, I'll see if I can figure it out. Also, remember a the purpose of a desktop (here anyways) is to have something nice and clean to look at when you sit down. If that wallpaper works for you then so bit it, it's merely our own opinions after all.

This is my desktop, and yes I love green and I LOOOOOVE Flandre Scarlet (got actually around 70 wallpapers of her) I have many many many many (1442 wallpapers) that are changing randomly on my desktop xD

A couple of questions, what Operating Systems are you guys on? And what browser are you guys using?

Here's my laptop, it's pretty minimal, but that's all I really want.
Also any suggestions for someone wanting a different OS, and what to go to? I am rather beginner-ish so something like building an Arch Linux distro lost me. Any suggestions?

Found the png images and just used an online converter to change them to an .ico. After that in the properties of the file it says change icon so just hit that

On the other hand, if you really really really feel like sticking to an antivirus program, AVG is definitely not one of them, nor is avast!. Kaspersky and eset are both reputable. Despite having Kaspersky before though, I had multiple instances where I had to reload my OS due to viruses, so yeah. When it wants to get through, it will. Especially if you get into the habit of adding every "false positive" in your eyes as an exclusion.

one of those is actually wangblows. For starters read the sticky and the arch linux wiki (just use apt get instead). A lot of things also have documentation of their own ( tiling managers for example) - read those as well.
then next big step is probably installing whatever you wanted and copying the config files from dotshare.it or from a github, and editing them to get the feel to it.

On windows, use Visual styles. They make ricing pretty easy. Go to nanami-tan.info for some good visual styles, or look up "windows 7 VS" or something like that on Deviantart.

Making windows minimal can be done a couple of ways. Most visual styles already hide some window elements and clutter but I go one step further and use a program like Auto Hot Key to hide the titlebars and menubars of a window.

Hmm... Radial Clock is what I use to keep it simple, I used to have a couple of other skins but i completely wiped my hard drive and deleted everything. So my advice is go on DeviantArt or another unofficial Rainmeter forum and just choose what you think looks good.

Just so you know, he's on Arch Linux. None of his window managers would work on your machine. I'd suggest looking up either bug.n or Blackbox4windows. They're both pretty good and CAN work together, but need a lot of work to do that

if you want to install i3, there's a manual on i3wm.org that tells you how to configure just about anything in it
I don't know stuff about firefox, but I guess it's about the same as in windows
the taskbar i3bar is quite customizable, but there are others that are more customizable (haven't tried them out yet)
If you choose i3, i'd advise you to use j4-dmenu and some other j4 stuff with it, because it is quicker

My words got the point across so it doesn't seem that big an issue. However semi-framless maybe only top and bottom have the frame. I'm not sure. Thanks for the help though.
