Oh boy, let's just talk about some minor thing that happened today.
Bascially, I'm #3 in
community.amd.com/thread/204651#Apparently there's some hardware failure on my gpu that wont let me install the new drivers on my pc without complete system failure, the AMD support forum (which is only driven by a community as has no contact with any official AMD staff apparently) has seen fit to leave anyone with the same problem to figure out on their own what to do. At first this was not a problem, I could still use a version of the driver from 2015 but now Friefox will crash whenever I try to download or upload any file so the browser I use for work/school and all serious stuff has become unusable. And that's just the most significant failure caused by the outdated drivers so far.
I don't live in the US, there's no AMD provider I can directly contact for support, I have a laptop so I cannot replace the card, it is over 3 years old now, so no warrant with the brand either (even then I had to open the whole thing to remove the HDD some time ago so that voids any other option of cheap repair) I don't have the money to buy a new one and all people who actually dedicate to "repairing" this stuff are obviously not prepared to deal with a problem magnitude but their fee is well beyond that (basically, they can do as much, or less, as your average hobbyist), anyone who has the technical knowledge has already a much more lucrative job.
