C# is the most pleasing, enjoyable syntax, environment, compiler, and output of software I've ever had the pleasure of typing and mousing on. Yes, it sucks it's Microsoft only. But there's hope. The entire language is open and there will be a time when it runs on almost any platform.
feh sounds cool. I've never used it nor pqiv, but I also not the biggest fan of command-line everything. I love my mouse and double-clicking. I will look into them though to see what features and how they are doing image-viewing.
