I recommend living in another culture as it will broaden your horizons and challenge so many of your fundamental beliefs. I guarantee if you go into it with an open mind, you will come away a more rounded person. Just don't go into it with a "grass is greener" attitude. Every place has its problems, they're just different. You will feel isolated at times, even if you speak the language and have studied the culture, but that's all part of the experience. Going through those highs and lows is what you trade for the stable monotony of staying in the same place your entire life.
