>What do you do for a living?
Graduated for couple of years now with a degree in public relations. Before COVID, I was sorting invoices in a mailroom for my 9 to 5. On the side I'd get the occasional graphic design gig doing movie posters for local filmmakers.
>How much do you make? And what's your quality of life
I should have made $750 biweekly with the mailroom gig, though I'd often clock out early everyday because my brain values getting the fuck out of there more than the money, so I'd make a little less than that usually. And I charge around $300 at the moment for an average poster gig. Currently living with my folks, can't complain TOO much.
>Are you happy?
I was for a little bit there, at least somewhat content, in spite of my bogus job. Then the pandemic happened and like some I was all about the lockdowns at first, now I just want to be out seeing my friends and actually be able to see some sort of trajectory for my life again. I'm sorta feeling like how I did back in high school again and that's no bueno. Buying material goods off the internet every couple of weeks can patch things up for only so long. I got a new desk coming in tomorrow, so that'll be nice to keep me busy.
>What would you change, career or other, if you could?
There's a lot. But most immediate, I wish I went with a different major in school. It's disheartening looking at everyone's LinkedIn profiles and seeing they have an attractive job title at an attractive company so soon out of college. Obviously that doesn't always mean dick, but I can't help it when it sends me into a self-loathing spiral.
