>>7045353What has Nazi Germany invading the USSR have to do with starting WWII? Operation Barbarossa happened years after the war began. The annexation of Austria was not only violent, it was willing (I quote): "In both Austria and Germany, there had been several years of pressure for a union of the two countries (by both Nazis and non-Nazis) and this desire for a union formed an integral part of the "Heim ins Reich" movement." In regard to the violation of treaties of WWI, you can not say that this was a valid reason. The treaties signed at Versailles where designed to prevent Germany ever gaining strength again. If anyone is to blame for the rearmament of Germany, it is the Allies after WWI - the treaty of Versailles demanded that Germany take full responsibility for the entirety of the war, and pay repayments equal to 442 billion USD in today's money. Not only that, they had to secede territory. Are you honestly surprised that a treaty designed to guilt a country for an event that cost THEM millions of lives too led to a rise in nationalism?
To address your dismissal of Jews, antisemitism back then wasn't abnormal at all. Almost every society in which Jews participated has hated Jews. The Jews of today use the holocaust as an excuse for anything, even for the creation of Israel. Look at pic related and tell me the refugee crisis in Germany is not ironic.
