I have a particular fondness for the photography of Todd Hido and Gregory Crewdson. Both are known for their work with suburban places. Hido photographs houses at night, often with a fog like atmosphere and the lights from the windows being a focal point, and Crewdson stages very elaborate, surreal scenes that are more artistic.
Hido's photography is more intimately stimulating to me. His work evokes the feeling of them being dreamlike; existing outside of time or space. Unfortunately, not many of them are fit for typical wallpapers.
