>>7587334>What do you do for a livingEntry level geologist, I basically go on construction sites and write reports.
>How much do you make? Quality of life?$830 a week starting out, then that goes to 55k once I get my GIT exam in October. Honestly, it's pretty good. Moved out of my parents basement RIGHT before the COVID thing happened in my own nice place.
>Are you happy? For the most part yes. Just got married recently, mental health is far better than it was several years ago where I was convinced I was going to be alone forever and have couldn't function in the real world.
>What would you change, career, or other, if you could?I want to get my masters in Geology or something G.I.S related because I love mapping/natural hazard planning. Probably do that in 2 years from now, and I want to eat healthier too so I can have more mental energy. Other than that, I got what I wanted out of life, and hopefully I am giving back to my wife, family, and community enough.
