>>6098579>>6098592The Elites we fight in Halo 4 are part of a rebel group of the Covenant called The Storm, led by Jul 'Mdama. Jul was captured by Captain Osman's (now Admiral Osman) crew while they were selling weapons to the Arbiter's enemies. ONI was trying to fund and fuel a civil war on Sanghelios to try and wipe the Elites out without getting their hands dirty. Jul was taken to the first discovered Shield World (think Requiem) called Trevelyan, where he was kept prisoner and politely interrogated for months. When he finally managed to escape, after learning his wife was killed, he vowed to find the Didact and serve him so that he could use the Didact's power to end humanity once and for all. The Elites we fight in H4 are Elites that decided to follow Jul and find one of their gods instead of serving the Arbiter and the new Covenant.
