I find that most of those who say they hate, or can't stand a certain genre of music is because they were once that kid, that kid that was all about that life. Just liking the music, and listening to it wasn't enough. You had to look the part, and you had to make sure everyone knew you listened to that music by playing the part. Now you look back and cringe at the thought of who you once were, and consequently detest those that remind you of yourself. I would know, no I wasn't that kid.
