Lets say light travels at 1 inch a second. if we stood 500 feet back we could use a telescope to view forward. what this means is that light that wont reach earth for another 6 thousand years, is viewable by a telescope that is capable of seeing that distance out. hope this makes SOME sense. it realy is an increadible phenomenon
