Pick a cool theme or something, then put a different wallpaper in the theme on each of your desktops (I'm assuming you'll do the swiping around for different panes thing, one thing that rules about OSX)

That's probably the dumbest fucking thing you could do. You'd be better off using Windows if you really didn't want to use OS X. Enjoy using Gimp and other shitty, non-top tier apps. But you probably don't actually use your machine for anything important, besides trolling 4chan and jerking off.

Go through all the system preferences.
Right click the desktop, more settings there.
Open a finder window, more settings for Finder.

GeekTool is great, so is BetterTouchTool.

Switch the idiotic fucking inverted scroll direction.

clean up your dock, and get some apps.

Go through all your settings with a fine tooth comb, the new macs can do some cool touchpad shit.
