Take down the posters, leave the canvas piece hanging.
Get a wallmounted single shelf to hang above your desk and use it for the toys and accessories that is currently on your desk.
Don't keep empty bottles around.
Try and not have the walls too filled up with things.

The 40" is our living room TV now. Eventually when we replace it it'll go back to being my main monitor. The initial switch back was a struggle,I got used to all the real estate and being able to put 4 windows on the screen at once.

What speakers are those?

Oh it was a tv, not a pc monitor?

I got the bdm4350 and it's amazing for the price.
I used to have 3 monitors, and the biggest relief is all the cables that are gone now.

The speakers are the xtz 93.22 mk2, sub is the xtz 99 w12.16.

Its a Samsung 40" k6290. While its a TV its got 4:4:4 chroma, runs at 60hz and has a fairly low input lag for a TV (19ms).

I've tried three monitors and it was too much, I'd constantly have one that I wasn't using. I've been considering going with a 34" 1440p since the 40" was slightly too large in my old room.

no flat desks are best, i just have a slab of wood with 4 legs and it's the best desk I've ever owned. Also, the wood is a fantastic mouse pad - better than any mouse pad I've ever used. My only complaint is that the wood holds onto the heat of my laptop so I occasionally move it up and down to prevent it from building up.
