To name a few:
- only game Linux games (yuck)
- virtualize windows (easy) but learn about GPU pass through for good performance (need a vt-x capable CPU) I want to test this, but I got stuck with a i7-4770k cause a dumb dumb
- headless windows gaming (steam in-home streaming) it gave me great performance, but not enough for twitch gaming aka Overwatch
Been on Linux for about a year now (after a few tried that didn't stick) I went full retard with Archlinux because I'm a masochist, and now I'm in love with it Linux
I love the control that you have have over workflow

Gaming can be done if you want to to put in some work
I can't really speak for editing software sowy
