I would personally recommend just using an open source alternative for the short term. GIMP ain't that bad nowadays.

Look for a program called amtemu.v0.9.2-painter.exe
Download PS from adobe and use this program to do what must be done. It works on CC 2018 (source: i've done it)

This. Works perfectly and you don't have to grab a sketchy "cracked" version since you are getting it directly from Adobe.
