I was living with a few guys.
From the get go one of them seemed to like to start drama with the others and not tell them he had a problem with them (classic two faced person). At some point that came around to me, and I realized that he wasn't the kind of person I wanted in my life so I just let the drama happen and didn't feed into it. He somehow convinced the others to hate me through lies and manipulation. I don't like talking behind people's back so I didn't confront them about the dramaqueen, I just denied the lies, and they didn't come to me about a lot of the lies.
After that I spent about 6 months there living out my lease getting enough money to break my lease and leave. I am very glad to be out of there.

Hardly a bad thing for them to go so close. My dad kicked it in the 80's, my mom has been miserable for the last 3 decades. You didn't want that for your mom, did you?

Ive been friends with one for like 10 years, one Ive been friends with for like 3 or 4, and the last is my brother.

Theyre just not good friends. I was in the hospital down the road for 4 days nobody stopped by. they owe me money, I put the good friend up with us before my mom passed and for the passed year its been bailing him out of jail, paying his rent for 6 months, helping him through so much.
and my brother, he's 31 and im setting his doctor appointments.

I just need to focus on me, unfortunately they're my only friends.

can't really help you with the roommate part my man but i've lost both my mother and father in a car crash and it feels very surreal at times especially at a younger age but alwyas remember that they loved you intensly and they are never truly gone . i also broke up with the one i loved very recently and it feels like shit but the cool thing about our brain is that in most cases we get better after a while and stop longing for that person (sorry for my broken english btw i'm not a native english speaker)

I feel kinda depressed but reading what your situation is like made me feel better as my problems seem smaller now. It does not change my situation nor yours, but I think it's important to remember that there are people in way wore situations. That our huge problems would be small problems for others.

My situation isn't as tough as some of yours anons, but in the last year one of my best friends died and I broke up with my boyfriend of 6 years. Life has turned upside down and I'm alone battling the worst anxiety and depression I've ever had. But I'm beginning to have some days that I feel more hopeful and less like I want to die. So maybe time does heal the past. I hope it does for you all.

thank you to all you awesome people, I just got back from watching the Mr. Rogers documentary.

Apparently one of his last questions was about judgement day, him being a minister and all, and whether he was a sheep or a goat

It blew my mind that Mr. Rogers of all people wrestled with whether or not he was a good person.

or that he struggled with anything at all, he seemed to always have an answer.

knowing that we are not alone seems so important.

Rmember the best kinds of people always have some kind of scar.
I too am having a rough time with my gf and we havent heard from each other for days now, but im still hopeful things will get well. I hope the same for you anon.
