I've been playing a lot of Sunless Sea lately and an idea for a thread came to me, but I'm not sure how to describe it exactly. tl;dr: eerie foggy smokey cityscapes, streets, homes and buildings (indoor or outdoor), ports from the Industrial Revolution through the Victorian Era to WW1, Prohibition Era and maybe even beyond a bit, maybe with some occult elements and/or steampunk.

Stuff like in Sunless Sea/Fallen London, Bloodborne, Assassin's Creed Syndicate, The Order 1886, Vampyr, Dishonored, Thief (although that one is a bit more medieval usually) or the sort of industrial areas in shows like Peaky Blinders. Doesn't have to be large cities either, eerie remote locations can work as well if they're related to the stuff I've described. Also, the style doesn't have to be realistic necessarily, Sunless Sea has some beautiful drawings like pic related. Sorry if I'm being too broad with this.
