>>7484200I don't have any destiny wallpapers but have this one that reminds me of the Titan environments, as apologies for the following rant...
Destiny has (had? seems to be changing with 2) really good lore, decent art direction, and unusually satisfying gunplay, but it's just such a fucking boring game.
There are 2 kinds of encounters...
Either it's regular mooks, in which case you literally cannot lose. It's just a question of getting the requisite number of headshots. Hiding in cover? Stand in the open! No need for abilities, maneuvering, group tactics, thinking... The enemies pose no threat, and do absolutely nothing interesting. All of them act exactly the same. They walk towards you shooting, with big shiny weakpoints all over them, that they care nothing about.
Then there are bosses. These guys are worse, because they're just big versions of regular mooks. They have more health, and a bigger gun. Their gun could actually theoretically kill you, but luckily they fire it slower than molasses on a winter day, and always, always, always telegraph their moves as early as possible. So they're just timesinks. How long will it take you to get their bigger healthbar down? Be sure to enjoy the scripted sequences where they go invulnerable and you have to fight a few more regular mooks! Phew, that'll extend the fight even more without the risk of adding any excitement.
God, the game is a challenge of your attention span more than anything else.
