There's literally no visual indicator that the ring stretches anywhere in the OP image before it shoots skywards. At no point on the ring would you be high enough to look down on it. You'd always be looking up at it since the horizon constantly shifts upwards. Unless you're super fucking high above it. The mountains could be, but again, they'd have to be SUPER fucking big to the point of comedy to have that perspective. Like they'd be jutting out super far if you looked at the ring from far away.
Pic related is roughly the same height and angle and it's basically in space at that point.
OP image is mountains plopped right into the foreground with a ring background, and no real care as to where the horizon line is or vanishing points are.
