>>7769352Because not all modern monitors are 16:9, there's also 8:5, 12:5, 17:9, 21:9, and probably a bunch of other ratios to contend with now and in the future, plus monitors are also constantly getting larger and larger too, to the point that 16:9 / 1080p images are fast becoming too small for many Anons screens.
Besides which, most OS's are fully capable of appropriately resizing a very high-res image, like some of those posted above, to suit the dimensions of your screen(s) if you're not running 4K or higher yet.
And as for changing the backgrounds, ain't nobody got time for all that faffing about, anyhoo, it's art-nude porn, you're supposed to be looking at the naked lady, not at the background behind her or the location she's in ;)
