>>7792983>The fundamental structure of the workplace in capitalism is a dictatorship.>How can you be free when your a wage slave to the owners? When being a good wage slave is the implicit requirement for survival?Except in capitalism/old-school liberalism/true conservatism everybody, regardless of race, religion, gender, ethnicity, etc. is completely free to work hard and invest their time, money and effort towards owning and running their own business if they so choose.
And nobody is forced to work for anyone else if they don't want to, being self-employed IS still an option that many choose to take.
And no, not talking about slave labour, which generally only exists where corrupt governments and/or completely idiotic fully open national borders allow for large numbers of undocumented migrants to enter a country over a period of time based on an empty promise only to then be forced into working low-paying (if they're lucky) menial jobs. But who on Earth would consider it a good idea to open the floodgates and fully open their national borders and let just anybody sneak in without being properly processed, who'd openly do such a thing... oh wait... the British government would, most of the Western European governments would, the American Democrat Party would... hmm, there's a pattern there, they're all either actually socialist/marxist or they're seriously acting like they are.
Anyhoo, I digress... so instead of being a dictatorship, the traditional employer/employee relationship can instead be boiled down to being a simple mutually beneficial trade of skills and knowledge (employee) for money (employer), with a smart employer generally paying a reasonable wage completely appropriate for the role(s) and skill set of the employee.
And if you have a reasonably uncorrupt government, who haven't run the economy into the ground, and who are keeping unemployment low, if you don't like your current job, you are at least free to go find another job if you want to.
