>>7911885Holy shit, I don't normally go out of my way to type up posts like this - let alone to reply fifty days after the fact -, but I cannot let this one go. The more I look at this picture, the worse it gets. I was skimming through the pics, and glanced over it briefly at first. But the expression of the leftmost girl sticked with me, and I reopened the pic expecting a light chuckle. Granted, I do not know these characters, and I do assume they all look how they should as far as fanart goes, but...
The picture is of a clumsy accident, girls going out for their ice cream. Except the ice creams, penultimate topic of the whole "story" this image tells us, look merely an afterthought. The girl I first noticed seems to give so little fucks about anything, she's about to spill the damn thing. So why get it? The second and third girls don't seem to be caring for their treats either, with the third girl - the one on the broomstick -, appearing blatantly out of context. Nothing connects her to the picture, except for the ice cream. Which she seemingly hasn't even touched. This is also true for the first girl, by the way. But at least she appears "on her own", while the third girl breaks the 4th wall. The second and fourth girls are at least connected, but the second girl seems to be reacting way late to whatever happened. As if other two girls just didn't notice YET, hence their lack of reaction to the "accident", but the fourth girl is already licking the stuff from her palm, with her ice cream neatly moved to the side.
Af if each asset existed in a vacuum. I'm not even going to talk about that one broad in the background. However I'd feel remiss if I didn't at least mention the background. It was after all what pushed me to write this post. The castle looks fine, but look at that tree in the bottom right. It encompasses exactly what my issue with the picture is: it's fine on its own, but it's not part of the composition of the picture in which it appears whatsoever.
