This is a design for a necklace that uses gold, platinum, silver and, for the iced-out version, diamond. The body of the necklace is an alloy of gold, platinum and silver. The jeweler may choose to prolificate the number of diamonds upon this base of white gold. The fourth metal, tin, is only used in the bonding of that base of white gold in an oven, at high temperatures, for long hours. This prevents the use of solder. Only a drop of tin is needed. {Picture} . Preferably one might only use the amount of the white gold alloy that is necessary for the finished chain to be stronger than is required of it's specified use. This simply allows the chain to be small. To each his own.
