Is Hunter X Hunter actually better than One Piece? I've heard many people spout this but I've rarely seen an in depth argument proving that this is the case.

Hunter X Hunter is way better. It really is more of a seinen than a shonen anime. One Piece is too repetitive, most of the arcs are just Alabasta remakes in different settings.
